October 24th 2014, on a small day at Camel Rock, William Doudna doesn’t mind sharing one with a friend. When your paddling over murky, river fed water in a deserted lineup, its near impossible to keep the jaws theme song from tugging at the back of your leash. With 15 attacks on record and the reigning champion, Humboldt County tests the line of, “should I stay or should I go.” Even despite the fact that any surfer is an easy target if a shark decides to mistake you for a seal, any surfer will tell you that its near impossible to keep out of any water, including shark infested ones.
